Gintra of Šiauliai have extended their partnership with disciplined, combative 27-year-old Brazilian Lidiane Ribeiro. The number-eight midfielder will continue representing the multiple Lithuanian champions in 2026. She joined last summer, quickly became important and says staying required little hesitation.

'I felt comfortable in Šiauliai from my first weeks, on and off the pitch. Coaches and teammates helped me understand our playing system, and the club gave me every opportunity to improve, aim high and be part of a winning organisation. I admire Gintra's ambitions and focused, consistent work. When they offered an extension after the season, I quickly decided I wanted to stay and keep fighting for the club's objectives,' L. Ribeiro said after signing.

The versatile midfielder impressed with consistent performances, aggressive midfield contests, excellent first-ball skills, energy and an ability to inspire teammates at crucial moments. Her determination and character became a hallmark of the team.

Club Director Mantas Radavičius said her performances and professional attitude had earned a second-season offer.

'Lidiane is extremely disciplined and combative, inspiring everyone with her energy. She never backs out of duels and demands the maximum from herself and others. Players like her shape a team's character. We are delighted she sees her future at Gintra and wants to pursue even higher goals together.'

The club has already announced extensions with Lithuania internationals Tereza Romanovskaja and Justina Blaževičiūtė, and the appointment of Head Coach Artūr Sikorskij. More news will follow.

Preparations for the new season begin on 12 January.
