Changes have been made to Gintra's coaching staff. Coach Margarita Vagdarytė joins the team as assistant coach.

She replaces Ruben Perez, whom the club sincerely thanks for his professional work, dedication to the team and contribution to the club. We wish Ruben every success in the next stage of his career.

M. Vagdarytė has considerable experience in women's football. She holds a UEFA B coaching licence and is currently completing her UEFA A studies. For eight years she has worked at Džiugas in Telšiai, developing young footballers and coaching women's and girls' teams.

The 32-year-old is also assistant coach of Lithuania's women's U19 national team, having previously held the role with the U15 team. During her coaching career, her teams have earned medal places in elite girls' leagues and the Women's First League.

The coach says joining the Lithuanian champions was a considered, natural step.

'I had been thinking about joining Gintra for a long time. The Club Director and I had discussed several times how it would benefit both my development and the team. Gintra is one of Lithuania's most professional clubs, with an impressive history and achievements. It is a logical step for me to test myself at professional level and gain more experience.'

Although Margarita joins midway through the season, her first aim is to become fully integrated as quickly as possible.

'I am not setting myself grand personal targets. The most important thing is to integrate quickly, understand the atmosphere, connect with the players and colleagues and contribute to productive work. I have always wanted to be on the pitch with players, help them improve and contribute to the team's growth. I hope my knowledge and experience will be useful,' said Head Coach Artūr Sikorskij's new assistant.

We welcome Margarita to the yellow and black family and wish her a smooth start.
