Defending champions Gintra secured a convincing away Women's A League victory, 5:0 (4–0 at half-time) overwhelming Hegelmann of Kaunas District.

Their seventh consecutive win restored first place in the table.

Lineup: A. Schroeder, A. Mikutaitė (C), L. Kubiliūtė (63' min. M. Proscevičiūtė), T. Romanovskaja, K. O'Brien, R. Diodati, A. Sunday, M. Galkina (63' min. S. Lichareva), J. Sunday, E. Šupelytė, J. Bassey (80' min. S. Railaitė).

Goals:

„Gintra“: E. Šupelytė (9'), L. Kubiliūtė (18'), A. Sunday (37'), M. Galkina (45'), J. Bassey (55') one each.

With the right mindset, Gintra dominated from the start. In the ninth minute, Šupelytė converted Bassey's precise pass for 1–0.

Petkov's side maintained pressure. In the 18th minute, Kubiliūtė was perfectly placed to score her first of the season and double the lead.

Rather than protecting their advantage, Gintra kept attacking. Abigail Sunday beat Klaudija Savickaitė with a skilful shot from around 16 metres in the 37th minute for 3–0.

Galkina added another before half-time from an excellent Bassey pass for 4–0.

The second half was a formality. In the 55th minute, the combination worked in reverse: Galkina passed and Bassey finished for 5–0. Neither team scored again, and Gintra celebrated a deserved win.

They seek to extend the run next Wednesday, 14 June, hosting Saned Joniškis at Šiauliai Central Stadium at 18:00. Every supporter's presence matters. Admission is free.
