Lithuanian champions Gintra presented their 2025 squad on Tuesday evening at partner Gubernija HUB's distinctive visitor centre. The occasion offered a chance to meet the team before the next chapter and share expectations and good wishes for the season ahead.

Outlining the season's goals, club president Gintaras Radavičius described another opportunity to embrace challenges and pursue top results at home and abroad. More international matches are expected with the launch of Europe's second-tier women's competition this season. He stressed that Gintra's A League title is never guaranteed: it must be earned through hard work on the pitch every year.

The presentation featured many congratulations and wishes for a successful season. Šiauliai municipal administration director Antanas Bartulis, Lithuanian MP Domas Griškevičius, and city councillor and devoted supporter Asta Lesauskienė wished the team success in achieving their goals and promoting Šiauliai at home and abroad.

Lithuanian Women's Football Association president Artūras Krukis and Šiauliai County Football Federation head Gintautas Mirauskas wished the team an injury-free season and the confidence to face ambitious European challenges with heads held high. Sponsors and partners also offered encouragement, underlining their continued support and belief in the team.

The traditional shirt presentation rounded off an evening with plenty of light-hearted moments. Each player answered fun questions about her teammates, choosing whom she would send to Eurovision, name the best dancer or trust with the decisive penalty in a Champions League final.

As the season approaches, the team feel both responsibility and unity. "This is another chance to show our determination and ambition. We're ready to fight for every victory and enjoy every moment on the pitch," said captain Algimantė Mikutaitė.

Gintra play their first competitive match of 2025 this Saturday, seeking victory away to Riga RFS in the Baltic League.
