After opening 2023 with a Baltic League win, Gintra officially welcome another signing: Lithuania international Erika Šupelytė.
The forward and midfielder will wear number 28.
After representing Lithuanian youth teams, she now receives senior call-ups. She scored in February's 3–1 friendly win over Armenia.
She represented MFA Žalgiris-MRU from 2020 and finished national runner-up last season. Šiauliai is familiar: she previously studied at the Sports Gymnasium and played for ŠSG-FA Šiauliai in the First League.
"I'm happy to develop and pursue victories with the champions. It's an interesting new career challenge, and I'll work hard to meet the coaches' expectations and my own," said Šupelytė, already training with the team.
Tomorrow, 4 March, Gintra travel to Marijampolė to face Hegelmann in the Winter Cup at 12:30.
