After their 15th Spark Energy Women's A League match, Gintra stand just one step away from the 21st national title in their history.

At the central stadium, Šiauliai's team 5:0 (3–0 at half-time) defeated fourth-placed Hegelmann of Kaunas District.

Gintra now have 43 points and can secure the title next round. Next Sunday they host MFA Žalgiris-MRU, currently sharing second and third, who beat Saned 1–0 this round.

Goals:

„Gintra”: S. Rosette (5', 45'), K. Oluwadamilola (71', 84') two each, M. Porter (7′ min.) – 1.

Lineup: A. Bikutė, Sh. Aviza, S. Rosette, T. Romanovskaja, A. Mikutaitė, H. DeBose, G. Raznauskaitė (72′ min. S. Lichareva), M. Galkina, V. Ikechukwu (62′ min. K. Oluwadamilola), E. Partikaitė (46′ min. N. Klezaitė), M. Porter (81′ min. S. Railaitė).

Gintra showed their intent immediately. Samantha Rosette converted Ikechukwu's pass in the fifth minute, and Miracle Porter doubled the lead two minutes later for 2–0.

Ikechukwu nearly scored from a set piece, but the post saved Hegelmann. Gintra remained in total control, although the gap stayed at two after 25 minutes.

A defensive mistake gave Rosette a good chance for her second in the 30th minute, but she missed. Ikechukwu then threatened from Mikutaitė's accurate pass without scoring. Partikaitė, Porter and Rosette also missed three clear opportunities late in the half.

Just before the interval, Rosette finally broke through one-on-one to complete her brace for 3–0.

Neda Klezaitė replaced Partikaitė after the break. Dominant Gintra had another golden chance through Porter, who beat the goalkeeper but lost her balance and missed the empty net. The next goal took until the 71st minute, when substitute Oluwadamilola capitalised on a goalkeeper error for 4–0.

Koku continued troubling the defence and headed her second in the 84th minute, making the final score 5–0.

Next Sunday, 2 October, at 16:00 at the central stadium, Gintra face MFA Žalgiris-MRU. Come and support the yellow-and-blacks!
