Gintra officially introduce another newcomer: Nigerian winger Abigail Sunday, 21, has signed.
The versatile left-footer can also play in defence. She has arrived in Šiauliai and joined training, and will wear number 20.
Abigail began her overseas career in Kazakhstan last year with runners-up Tomiris-Turan, making her Champions League debut. A difficult qualifying group with Manchester City and Sturm Graz ended their campaign at that stage.
She values the experience as the highest level she has faced. From Nigeria's largest city, Lagos, she turned professional in 2018 and represented Sunshine Queens, Abia Angels and Nasarawa Amazons at home.
Harsh Lithuanian weather welcomed her. She joked that outdoor football should not be permitted in such conditions.
"I can adapt to different weather, but this biting wind and low temperature aren't a dream combination. Most importantly, my teammates and staff welcomed me warmly. I thank them and will work to earn the coach's trust," she said after an early session.
She will debut in the opener on 26 February at noon, when Gintra host Latvian champions Riga SFK at Gytariai's artificial-turf stadium in Šiauliai. All supporters are welcome. Admission is free.
