Winter Cup title stays in Šiauliai

Gintra retained the Winter Cup title. In the final match at Marijampolė's Hikvision indoor arena, they drew 1:1 (0–0 at half-time) with FK Vilnius, but despite dropping points, it was enough for gold.

Lineup: A. Bikutė (80' min. A. Schroeder), T. Romanovskaja, A. Mikutaitė, A. Sunday, L. Kubiliūtė (80' min. S. Lichareva), G. Raznauskaitė, E. Šupelytė, M. Galkina, J. Bassey, J. Sunday, M. Proscevičiūtė (45' min. N. Klezaitė).

Goals:

„Vilnius“: A. Špakovskaja (48' min.) – 1.

„Gintra“: J. Bassey (53') – 1.

Gintra controlled the first half but could not turn that into a goal. The teams went into the break level at 0–0.

Immediately after the interval, carelessness was punished. The opponents unexpectedly led, waking Petkov's team from their slumber. Gintra responded quickly through Juliet Bassey for 1–1.

Despite that quick response, Gintra could not find another goal and settled for a draw.

Next Saturday, Gintra face Riga's Metta in the Baltic League at Rimi Olympic Center, kicking off at 13:00.
